2017 ArtExArtEx 2017 will be held 4-7 August at the B Shed, Fremantle Port. Exhibition opening 7pm Friday 4 August
ArtEx is a biennial exhibition presented by the East Fremantle P&C. This much loved exhibition showcases artwork created by students that is curated alongside the artwork of professional artists. This years theme is 'The Beach', and all things sea, nautical and marine. Our students have been busy creating works around this theme in the art room and classes. Tickets for the opening night will be available soon. For more information please contact Jane Chambers [email protected] or Annalisa Oxenburgh [email protected] |

Our events
The P&C runs a range of events for the purposes of fundraising and socialising - both equally important to the life of our school. There are many opportunities for you to get involved, whether through donating your time and expertise or just by coming along. We know how to have good time and some of our events are still talked about years later (in a good way!).
Regular events on the fundraising calendar include:
- the ArtEx art exhibition (every second year - the last was in 2014),
- the School Fete (every fourth year - the last was in 2015),
- our not-your-average quiz nights (annual); and
- Election Day sausage sizzle and cake stalls.
Smaller events run throughout the year. We are always keen to hear from people who have an idea for a fundraiser that we can include in our calendar. We also organise free events such as family concerts and picnics, and parent talks. If you would like to share information that would benefit the community by holding a parent talk, please get in contact.

Why we fundraise
We raise money to provide out kids and teachers with resources that would otherwise not be available. Examples include whiteboards for the classroom, computers in the library, sports equipment and classroom materials. Our major focus at present is funding the fabulous Kitchen Garden Scheme.

Volunteering - oh no!
Our events depend on volunteers - we can't do it without you! The more people that help out, the less work for everyone. But don't panic - you'll get more out of it than you may think. You will make friends and have fun. Most importantly, you will show your kids that we are all part of a community that puts in time and effort for the greater good. Kids feel proud when they see mum and dad helping out and love it when you get involved. Often they can get involved too. When your primary school days are over, these will become some of your fondest memories.
